The Innkeepers, Michiko, Aleks, and Kuniko Hunter

Michiko Hunter, is a sixth generation restaurant operator from Yokohama Japan. She holds degrees in Psychology from Rikkyo University in Tokyo, Interior Design from Fashion Institute of Technology In New York, and is completing her thesis for her MS in Lighting from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Michiko worked as an instructor of Interior Design, Environmental Design and Rendering and Presentation Technologies At Sage Junior College of Albany and a Lighting Designer in New York City. Most recently before purchasing the Inn she was a lighting designer with Ann Kale Associates in Manhattan.

Aleks and Michiko studied Martial Arts and Self defense
for several years under Zen-Do Kai International director, Mr. Michael Campos.
They hope to return to serious training soon

Aleks is a former nuclear engineer in the US Navy and holds degrees in Nuclear Engineering Technology and Computer Science from the State University of New York. He has worked as an industrial engineering technician for a toy manufacturer, an industrial designer designing commercial and monumental window systems and administering an integrated  CAD and database system for a once progressive engineering department. For the last year prior to purchasing the inn, Aleks worked as a project manager for a construction company in Manhattan. Aleks still does freelance AutoCAD programming, database integration, and commercial and monumental window system design.

Kuniko is now a stellar third first grade student. She started skiing at age three and now five years later she has entered the world of alpine racing. A regular member of the "fast girls" group in Okemo's Young Mountain Explorers, Kuniko placed sixth in the OMARA Hopeful finals in March 2002 .
