Coolidge State Park located close to the Birthplace of President Calvin Coolidge on Rt. 100 A. 

Ascutney State Park provides a paved road to the summit with wonderful views of both the Connecticut River Valley and Vermont's Green Mountains

Camp Plymouth State Park offers excellent hiking and picnic options  located just off Rt. 100 offers a beach and boat rentals combined with the great lawn picnic area. 

Wilgus State Park located on historic Rt. 5 along the Connecticut River offers canoe rentals and great picnic sties.
